Monument dedicated to 12 soldiers from the 27th Armored Infantry Battalion, 9th Armored and 3 civilians who were brutally murdered in the woods of Vaux-Richard on December 17, 1944. The plaque reads: "Here, December 17, 1944, 12 soldiers of Company A, 27th Armored Infantry Battalion of the 9th Armored Division and three civilians of the village, all made prisonner, were brutally massacred by the Nazi Hordes."
